On October 18, 2025, there was Fun for Foster, Adoptive, & Kinship Families including Teens!
Get ready for a spooktacular day of Halloween fun! We are hosting a giant celebration filled with games, food, activities, and memories your kiddos will never forget. Bring the whole family, come in costume, and have lots of fun!
Event Highlights
- Trunk-or-Treat: Safe and fun trick-or-treating thanks to the Mount Clemens Optimist Club
- Games & Crafts: Hands-on fun for kids of all ages including musical chairs, donut-eating contest, and eyeball relay races - awesome prizes for all!
- Pumpkin Carving & Painting: Create your own jack-o’-lantern or painted pumpkin masterpiece to take home
- Contests: Prizes for best costumes and pumpkins, including best teen 13+ costume wins $50 gift card! All other categories win amazing gift baskets of toys and goodies!
- Entertainment: Live singer with steel drums and xylophone
- Food & Treats: Hot dogs, burgers, fruit, chips, pop, water, and fun snacks
- Photo Backdrops: Capture memories at themed photo stations
- Special Guest: Meet Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas and other costumed characters
- Teens: 13+ will receive a gift card just for attending
Plan on arriving between 11:45 am and 12:30 pm to participate in all activities
Sign up in advance - placement or adoption papers are required at the event. For older youth in MYOI or YIT, show an email from your caseworker.
