In the Child Welfare System:
1. Foster parents who are licensed with DHHS or a private agency, 2. Parents who have adopted out of the foster system or have court-ordered subsidized guardianship, 3. Kinship/Relative placements only through CPS/DHHS or a private agency, and 4. Current Foster Youth in Transition ages 18-23 who have a Foster Care Liaison Case Worker.
The current and legal placement of a child is REQUIRED before you can shop. BIOLOGICAL PARENTS with CPS involvement are NOT allowed to shop.
A photo ID and your placement/adoption paperwork, a letter from your caseworker, or a medical authorization card are REQUIRED every time you shop. We do not keep placement papers on file. Please do NOT plan to shop without your paperwork. You are eligible to shop every 2-3 months unless you take a new placement or need something that we previously didn't have. If you have shopped here before, please bring your IKEA bag with you.
If you have taken an emergency placement and need items before our next open hours, we can help. Please send us a Facebook message or email and one of our Rapid Response volunteers will open just for you. Please have your placement paperwork showing that you just took a placement. The current and legal placement of a child is required BEFORE you can shop.
